Everything you need to know about ChessEasy Academy — classes, pricing, curriculum, and more.
General
ChessEasy Academy is India's premier online chess coaching platform. We offer live, interactive classes for students of all ages and skill levels — from absolute beginners to tournament players pursuing FIDE titles. Our FIDE-rated coaches bring decades of competitive experience.
Anyone aged 5 and above! We have separate batches for kids (5–12), teens (13–17), and adults (18+). Beginners are especially welcome — no prior chess knowledge is needed.
Yes! While we're based in Kerala and Bangalore, India, our online format means we coach students worldwide — including the USA, UK, UAE, Australia, and Singapore.
We combine structured FIDE-aligned curriculum with modern tools like puzzle trainers, personality quizzes, and FEN/PGN converters — all built in-house. Our student-first approach means small batch sizes, personalized feedback, and 24/7 WhatsApp support.
Classes & Schedule
All classes are live via Google Meet with screen sharing for chessboard demonstrations. We use a digital chessboard that both coach and student can interact with in real-time.
Each class runs 60 minutes. Beginner and Intermediate batches meet 2–3 times per week; Advanced batches meet 4 times per week including 1 one-on-one session.
No worries! Every class is recorded and shared within 2 hours. You can also request a makeup session in another batch running the same week, subject to availability.
We keep batches small — maximum 6 students for group classes. This ensures every student gets individual attention and feedback during each session.
We offer flexible scheduling. If you need to change your regular slot, reach out to your coach on WhatsApp and we'll find an alternative time that works.
Pricing & Payment
Our plans start at ₹999/month for Beginner, ₹1,499/month for Intermediate, and ₹2,499/month for Advanced. Quarterly and semi-annual plans offer 16–25% savings. Visit our Pricing page for full details.
Absolutely! Every new student receives one free trial class (60 minutes) with no obligation to enroll. It's the best way to experience our coaching style firsthand.
We accept UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe), net banking, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Rupay), and international payments via Wise (formerly TransferWise).
Yes. If you're not satisfied after your first week of paid classes, we offer a full refund — no questions asked. After the first week, refunds are pro-rated for unused classes.
Never. The price you see is the price you pay. There are no registration fees, material fees, or surprise charges. Tournament entry fees (optional) are the only additional cost.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is aligned with FIDE training standards and structured into three levels: Foundation (Beginner), Development (Intermediate), and Mastery (Advanced). Each level has a detailed syllabus covering openings, middlegame, endgame, and tactics.
Every student receives a monthly progress report covering: attendance, tactical puzzle rating, game analysis highlights, syllabus completion %, and coach's personalized notes. Advanced students also get FIDE rating tracking.
Yes! Intermediate and Advanced plans include dedicated tournament preparation — mock matches with clock, opening repertoire review, psychological preparation, and post-tournament game analysis.
We've built a suite of free tools for our students: Puzzle Daily (3 levels), Puzzle Rush (timed), Puzzle Trainer (theme-filtered), FEN-PGN Converter with board editor, Chess Personality Quiz, and ELO/FIDE rating calculators.
Technical
Just a laptop/tablet with a stable internet connection and a Google account (for Google Meet). No webcam is required, though having one helps the coach see your reactions. A chessboard at home is recommended but not mandatory.
No installations needed! We use Google Meet (browser-based), Lichess studies for interactive boards, and our own web tools. Everything runs in your browser.
We recommend a laptop or tablet for the best experience (larger board display). Mobile phones work for Google Meet but the interactive chessboard is harder to use on a small screen.
